In the interest of full disclosure, I must make a confession.
I have a 'thing' for really, really good skincare.
And mascara. Oh, and lipgloss.
I know, I know, I KNOW- I can get skincare free or nearly free at Target or Wal-mart or Walgreens... And I have, and I would continue to do so, if I didnt get SUCH a thrill from a certain French boutique-y moisturizer that I discovered when I was actually working behind a department store cosmetics counter.
*Big Sigh.*
I wish that I didnt have this problem. I really really do. But maybe you are like me, and you have a 'thing' for some luxury item. Maybe it's lipstick. Or shoes. Handbags. Really nice-fitting jeans (which have always eluded me, but some swear that they exist!...)
Maybe you are lucky enough to get a massage every once in a while. Or a facial.
If any of this sounds familiar, please- also join me at Simply Savvy Moms. This is where we'll talk about getting the most bang for your buck on those non-essentials that we still love.
For those of you who are rolling your eyes at me for having such a vice- thank you for bearing with me. And I promise, I will never mention lipstick again. Unless it's free. :)

Welcome!
I'm so excited about this blog, it is kinda ridiculous!
Over a year and a half ago, I started out on this crazy adventure of stay-at-home-wife & mother. I am tremendously blessed by this opportunity. It was awesome to stay home while pregnant and to now be home with our little girl. I am grateful every day that I get to do this- even on the days when I really wish I could drop her off at a babysitter so that I could maybe take a shower :) ... I am still so very grateful for this privilege.
Of course, with staying home comes certain responsibilities such as keeping a closer eye on the budget, grocery shopping, etc. Along the way, I have discovered that I absolutely LOVE the HUNT for a good deal and the thrill of finding it.
But on more than one occassion, even my thrifty thrifty mother has said to me things like, "That's not thrifty. That's being CHEAP!" :) Okay, so maybe it's true. Sometimes I get a little excited about something that others consider 'cheap'. Well, I've decided that's okay with me!
This is a place for sharing all the many many many ways that we can be simply savvy and even cheap- in order to live below our means, be debt-free, stay home with our kids, go back to school, and what ever else it is that motivates you! This is about the FUN of bargain-hunting and scoring a sweet deal~
Let's talk coupons, groceries, sales, freebies, samples, giveaways, recipes, tips, and anything else that we can come up with! I hope to share what I've learned, and to learn from others, too. This is going to be fun...
